Miami Marlins Tickets
The Miami Marlins have one of baseball's more tumultuous histories; a dubious distinction given their 21 year history makes them one of Major League Baseball's two youngest franchises. The Marlins have experienced the highest of highs winning two World Series titles in their brief history, but have also experienced the lowest of lows with multiple last place finishes. Miami Marlins tickets fluctuate in popularity, but there is always excitement for baseball in South Florida when the new season rolls around.
Not Your Average Beginnings
Founded in 1993 as the Florida Marlins, the franchise began play in MLB with the 1993 season. Miami Marlins tickets were originally sold at the former-Joe Robbie Stadium in Miami Gardens, north of downtown Miami. For the first 18 seasons, the Marlins shared that stadium with the NFL's Miami Dolphins.

Miami Marlins Win the World Series
The two most memorable seasons in franchise history occurred in 1997 and 2003 when the Marlins won the World Series. The 1997 team featured some of baseball's brightest talent with the likes of Bobby Bonilla, Moises Alou, Gary Sheffield, Charles Johnson, and Kevin Brown all suiting up for the Fish. Miami Marlins tickets were impossible to find late in the season as the team marched toward the World Series. When the team won the title in the 11th inning of game 7, a jam packed Joe Robbie Stadium burst with excitement.
With that 1997 World Series title, the Marlins became the first franchise in MLB history to win a title as a Wild Card team. The 2003 team would repeat this remarkable feat, facing an even greater uphill climb. After starting the season 16-22, the franchise fired manager Jeff Torborg. After 72 year old Jack McKeon took over, the Marlins managed to grab the NL Wild Card and make another improbable run to the World Series. The season culminated with a victory over the New York Yankees in six games.
Plenty of Seats
Today, Miami Marlins tickets are sold to the beautiful new Marlins Park in the Little Havana neighborhood, just two miles from downtown Miami. Opened for play ahead of the 2012 season, Marlins Park is a baseball specific stadium with seating for 37.442 Miami Marlins ticket holders. The park is owned by the city of Miami, and upon moving into the building the franchise changed its name from the Florida Marlins to the Miami Marlins under the terms of its financing deal with the city and county of Miami-Dade.
Boasting a retractable roof, Marlins Park provides fans and players alike with protection from the intense heat and harsh storms of a South Florida summer. As the 2014 MLB season approaches, fans are snapping up Miami Marlins tickets in anticipation of witnessing improvement over the 2013 season.
